About Fieldwork Creative

I am a multimedia artist and my current design work focuses on brochures, postcards, posters, environmental graphics, and digital illustration. I am based in Ann Arbor, Michigan—though I have done work with clients in different parts of the country and can seamlessly coordinate with vendors remotely.

The name Fieldwork Creative is a nod to my combined interest in science and art. The phrase "in the field" is a typical one used in the sciences and in landscape architecture. I am interested in bridging art and science in my design, and collaborating with others to do great work.

About me

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a native Michigander—though I lived in New Mexico and Utah for the better part of a decade. I sometimes miss the mountains, but I'm quite happy to be near our beautiful Great Lakes.

I have an educational background in geology with graduate work and professional experience as a landscape architect and graphic designer/illustrator. I’ve been drawing my whole life, and when I’m not drawing or weaving, I’m spending time outside and on the trails (hopefully soon to be accompanied by a very good dog).

Above all, I firmly believe that freshly roasted New Mexican green chile can change your life.
